A Time to Be Grateful
Tomorrow, families all across the nation will sit down together and share what they are most thankful for. It’s a tradition so ubiquitous it can feel forced or cliche, but only for those who haven’t yet learned this simple truth:
Happiness is not what makes us grateful.
Br. Steindl-Rast
It is gratefulness that makes us happy.
Sharing our gratitude with each other is not a trite, banal act; it’s a catalyst that transforms every gift we are given (no matter how big or small) into a bottomless well of joy that can be felt by all.
Since we won’t be around the same table tomorrow, allow us to share with you some of the things we’re thankful for today:
I’m most grateful to have been made a mom this year. To say Bennett has brought us joy is an understatement. I’m also thankful for my work family. Everybody has been incredibly supportive in our journey to become parents, but they also motivate me to be the best I can be. (Sara Smith)
This year I’m particularly thankful for the children of the world and the future they represent. And a very special “Thank You” to everyone that’s out there tirelessly working to make this world a better place for them and the generations to come. (Ryan Green)
I’m thankful to be engaged to Gracie, the love of my life! (Kevin York)
I’m most grateful for a healthy, loving family. I’m also thankful for a vocation and a firm that gives me an opportunity to serve others and positively impact the trajectory of their lives. (James Blake)
I am thankful for all of the beautiful and different relationships in my life that have brought growth, love, and joy. (Anna Davey)
This year I married my best friend – a handsome man with a kind heart and strong hands. My heart is full of thankfulness for the love and support he gives me every day! (Marissa Thomas)
I’m thankful for everything – from my wife and kids to the clothes on my back and the food on our table. We’re blessed beyond measure. (Tim Egart)
I am grateful for the fruit that comes from persevering through hard seasons: for a closer walk with God, growth in my job, and being engaged to the person I love most in this world. (Damaris Wyand)
This year I am grateful to have joined the Brand Asset Management team and the opportunity to work with all of our client’s families. (Jennifer Combs)
I’m thankful for every day that I get to be with my wonderful family and great co-workers. (Ryan Bouchard)
One of the most pleasant thoughts is one of gratitude. I am so thankful that I live with and work with people who have grateful hearts. It makes for a great life. (Todd Brand)
