Meet Anna
We are pleased to introduce the newest member of the BAMG team, Anna Davey!
Anna is joining Brand Asset Management Group as our new Executive Assistant. Her official bio can be read on our website here, but to help you get to know Anna, we’ve asked her to share a little about her life…
2017 is shaping up to be a year of changes for you – in many areas! Tell us a little about your year.
This year has been one marked by transition. In May, I married my high school sweetheart, Caleb. He has known me for (what feels like) the majority of my life, so I am now happy to share our futures together. Caleb recently accepted a job at Lindenwood University, which caused us to move to St. Charles in late June. It feels great for us to be starting fresh in a new home with new careers!
In December, I will graduate from Missouri Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. Yes – this year has brought lots of change, but also many opportunities for growth and plenty of excitement!
Your family has a very interesting story about something amazing that began in a very curious way…
I spent my entire childhood in the same house in Edwardsville, Illinois, where I was fortunate to grow up with my two parents and four siblings. Life started to change for our family when I was just a few years old. My mother was introduced to an a cappella group from Zambia, Africa. Moved by compassion for the youth, she gave them her number and offered her help if they ever needed it. It wasn’t long before she received a call and her first task – finding homes for the youth in that group after the company they worked for fell apart. Learning of the great needs, my parents began supporting some of their families in Zambia with medications and schooling.
In 2003, with the help of generous donors, my parents founded the first of the African Vision of Hope schools with just 23 children. Today, African Vision of Hope is an amazing network of volunteers, donors, and staff that support a farm, boarding houses, empowerment ministries, college students, and five schools with 2500 children! I have been honored to watch this ministry evolve throughout my life, and to partner with my parents in serving the people in Zambia.
What are you passionate about – personally or professionally?
Traveling to Zambia with African Vision of Hope opened the door for me to see how the rest of the world lives. I love connecting with people of a different ethnic background. Zambia sparked my passion for learning more about our world and since then I have traveled to Southeast Asia several times and can’t wait for my next trip. I am passionate about using my life, and my surplus as an American, to fill the gaps in places where there is a large need, both spiritually and physically.
Professionally, one of my primary areas of passion is in administration. Through my experience with African Vision of Hope and as a Student Worker in the Admissions office at Missouri Baptist, I discovered a knack for helping people, managing schedules, organizing events, and just keeping things running smoothly in general. I am excited for the opportunities to fulfill both my personal and professional passions in this next phase of life!
Have you settled into your new life enough to have a “typical” weekend? What do you and Caleb do in your free time?
Since moving to St. Charles we have been enjoying all of the restaurants and shops it has to offer. Caleb and I love to travel as well and are always planning our next trip either across the world or just the country. Another thing I take joy in is being surrounded by friends and family. At any time we are hosting a get-together or meeting up with someone at our favorite coffee shop. Caleb’s job requires us to live on a college campus, so there is never a moment when we aren’t a door lengths away from company.
We are excited to welcome Anna Davey to the team and can’t wait for you to meet her!
Sincerely,
Brand Asset Management Group
