Most of us have heard of the new generative AI technology, ChatGPT, which is taking the internet by storm. ChatGPT can answer questions about history, write a bedtime story, help someone figure out a problem in a line of code, write a poem about coffee, write a cover letter for a job application, engage in conversation, and more.

Open AI describes ChatGPT as a sibling model to InstructGPT, which is trained to follow an instruction in a prompt and provide a detailed response. On their blog they say, “We’ve trained a model called ChatGPT which interacts in a conversational way. The dialogue format makes it possible for ChatGPT to answer follow-up questions, admit its mistakes, challenge incorrect premises, and reject inappropriate requests.”1 Read More
